DE-964E
Learner's Permit Certificate
After completing the first 6 hours (Lessons 1-3) of the course and passing the permit exam, students automatically unlock their DE-964E Certificate.
Print this certificate and take it your local Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) to apply for a learner permit.
Once they have their permit, students can begin the behind-the-wheel training portion of the program with their instructor or parent (depending on your setup).
This certificate = permission to get a learner’s permit and begin supervised driving.

Course Completion Certificate
After completing all 12 lessons (24 hours) and passing the final exam, the DE-964 Certificate of Completion is generated.
This certificate confirms that the student has finished the classroom portion of driver's education.
Once they've completed the 44 hours of behind-the-wheel pratice (7 hours driving,7 hours observation, 30 hours additional pratice), this certificate is used to take road test at DPS.
This certificate = proof of classroom completion, required to earn a Texas driver license.
