Learner's Permit Certificate
After completing the first 6 hours (Lessons 1-3) of the online course, students unlock the permit test within the course.
Once they pass the permit test, the DE-964E Certificate is generated instantly.
This certificate must be printed and taken to the DPS(along with the TDLR Parent Taught Program Guide) to apply for a learner's permit
With this certificate and a valid permit from DPS, the student can begin behind-the-wheel practice with their parent instructor.
This certificate = permission to start driving with a licensed parent instructor.

Course Completion Certificate
After completing all 12 lessons (24 hours) and passing the final exam, the DE-964 Completion Certificate is generated.

Once the 44 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction are finished and the Parent Log & Attestation Form are submitted, this completion certificate is used at DPS when applying for a Texas driver license.
This certificate = proof of completing the classroom portion of driver education.
